Welcome
Breakthrough Therapy is a speech pathology service providing mobile and telehealth therapy across Greater Western Sydney. Services are tailored to support children with a wide range of communication needs, helping them build essential speech, language, and literacy skills in their everyday environments.

Our goal is to empower each child to reach their full potential, breakthrough barriers, and find their voice. Therapy is designed to be engaging, functional, and family-centred, ensuring support is meaningful and relevant to daily life. We aim to provide personalised care by working collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals.
Why Speech Therapy?
It can help with:

Speech
This area focuses on helping children produce speech sounds clearly so they can be easily understood. Therapy targets specific sounds, sound patterns, and motor movements needed for clear, confident communication.

Language
Language therapy supports how children understand and use words, sentences, and concepts. This includes following instructions, building vocabulary, forming sentences, telling stories, and expressing ideas.

LITERACY
Literacy therapy supports skills needed for reading and writing, including phonological awareness, decoding, spelling, reading fluency, and comprehension. The focus is on building strong foundations so children can become confident, independent readers and writers.

SOCIAL COMMUNICATION
This area focuses on helping children navigate social interactions—like starting conversations, taking turns, understanding emotions, interpreting social cues, and building friendships. Therapy supports children in developing meaningful, positive relationships with others.

Fluency
Fluency therapy supports children who experience stuttering, helping them develop smoother speech, confidence, and tools to communicate comfortably. It also includes strategies for families to support relaxed, pressure-free communication at home

AAC
AAC includes tools like communication boards, picture systems, and speech-generating devices that help children express themselves. AAC therapy focuses on building functional communication, supporting language development, and giving children a reliable way to share their needs, ideas, and feelings.
